Generally, admission to a Danish master’s degree programme requires a bachelor’s degree within the same specific area of study (except for a few programmes within the humanities that admit students from different areas of study).
There is no list or overview of master’s degree programmes you can apply for with a specific bachelor’s degree. To find out which master’s programmes you can apply for, you have to look at how the admission requirements may match the contents of your bachelor’s programme.
Go to Step 1: Check the Admission Requirements to learn more.
Unfortunately, it is not possible for to apply for a pre-assesment of your Bachelor's degree. Your Bachelor's degree will only be assessed if you submit an online application. To get an idea of whether you are likely to be offered admission, you must check the admission requirements for the programme you are interested in.

It is possible to apply for admission before you have taken your English language test and obtained the required result. In that case, you must upload documentation that you have signed up for a test and that you will upload your documentation later. Please state you expected result date.
When you have passed your English language test, you must upload your test result to your application. See the documentation deadlines.
If you are considered academically qualified for admission, you will receive a letter of admission conditioned on the submission of a sufficient test score before the announced deadlines.
It is possible to appply for a credit transfer if you have passed courses at a Danish educational institution, so long as you have not completed the full first year of a programme. If you have passed what corresponds to the entire first academic year, you must instead apply for re-enrolment or transfer/change of programme. You should consult the degree programme's academic regulations to find out whether you have passed degree programme elements corresponding to the first academic year of the programme. You can also get advice and student guidance from the faculties’ student counsellors at Arts, Science and Technology, Health and Aarhus BSS.
If you have not passed degree programme elements corresponding to the first academic year of the degree programme of study, you must apply for admission on standard terms and credit transfer. You can read about compulsory credit assessment here.
If you have passed courses in a non-Danish educational institution you cannot apply for a change of programme/transfer, and must apply for admission on standard terms.
If your application lacks documentation necessary to assess it, we will send you a message through the Application portal. The message will contain information about which documentation is missing and the deadline for uploading it. If you are unable to provide the documentation within the deadline your application will be assessed based on the documentation already submitted. This may, in some cases, affect the assessment of your application and can lead to a rejection of your application. Please note that you will only receive a notification through the Application portal regarding missing documentation if a caseworker assesses your documentation as insufficient.
There are two instances in which the university will calculate your average grades. This applies if:
1) You are applying for a Master's degree programme with limited intake
2) You are a Non-EU applicant eligeble for a scholarship
In both cases your averages grades are part of a broader selection process. If you are applying for a programme with limited intake, you can learn more about the Selection criteria applied on the relevant programme page. If you are eligeble for a Scholarship, you can learn more about the Scholarship selection process at Scholarships and Grants.
To find out how we convert your grades to the Danish 7-point grading scale, go to: Conversion of grades.
Changes cannot be made after your application has been submitted. However, your application can be reopened for the purpose of uploading additional documentation. In this instance, the university will contact you to let you know which documentation is required.
