Deadlines and important dates

We've created a timeline to help you keep on top of all the application deadlines.

We recommend you familiarise youself with the timeline so you don't miss any important dates and that you start your online application early to avoid any problems towards the application deadline.

Note that not all programmes have biannual intakes.




Application deadlines - commencement in August/September 2025

The online application portal is open for applications from 8 November 2024.

Deadline for non-EU citizens

Non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens*

15 January 2025 (23.59 CET)

Deadline for EU citizens

EU/EEA/Swiss/Danish citizens*

1 March 2025 (23.59 CET)

* Please note that it will be possible to apply for admission until 1 March. However, if you apply after the 15 January deadline, you will not be considered for a scholarship and will not receive a reply to your application until early June. This can make it difficult for you to obtain a student residence permit in time for study start.

* Non-EU citizens with a permanent residence permit (or equivalent) in Denmark are exempt from paying tuition fees and can also apply by the 1 March deadline.




Application deadlines - commencement in January/February 2026

For January/February intake, limited programmes are available to non-Danish Bachelor's degree holders.

The online application portal is open for applications from 15 August.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about application deadlines:

I have missed the deadline, can I still apply?

Unfortunately, in most cases it is not possible to apply after the deadline.

In some exceptional circumstances, it may be possible to apply for dispensation. Read more about applying for dispensation on this page.

How do I accept an offer of admission?

To accept an offer of admission, you must log on to the application portal and choose the tab “See status of applications” At the right hand side of the page, you will have the option to accept or reject the offer of admission.

Will I be notified that I have been enrolled in my programme?

Yes, you'll receive a message in the application portal once you have been enrolled. Most new students starting in August/September are enrolled in the end of June.
